The first thing that needs to be answered is what exactly is a scam or ripoff? It is an attempt to cheat or defraud someone. And now the next question, What is One Source Talent?
On their main site they explain themselves as “a service for the fashion and acting communities”. The big hype surrounding the Entertainment industry is “never pay up front fees for an agency.” But OneSourceTalent.com does not have it anywhere on their site saying they are an agency.
So lets try to get a better grasp of what an agency is. In the modeling industry, agencies like Ford Models will take a percentage of what you earn when you book a job. But after you book your first job, you will only see a very small amount of money. This is because you are going to have to pay back the agency for your photos and any other expenses and marketing material. An agency also has another fee called a mother agency fee. This is what it charges its clients for using its talent.
One Source Talent does not charge a percentage of the money you make when you book a job. This is one of the reasons their service is desirable. They also do not charge a mother agency fee. So it attracts a wider variety of clients. Everything from independent films to fashion magazines to feature films.
The concept behind OneSourceTalent.com is to help models and actors get started in the Entertainment industry. You as a model or actor need to start some where. Build a proper resume. Some of these jobs may not pay anything, but this is all part of getting experience. So if you ask us, is One Source Talent a scam ripoff, we have to say no way.
I went to an interview with them last week and it seems legit.
I have been a model for sometime now and they seem to offer a good service.

What I know About ost:
They were founded in 2003.
They do not charge a Mother Agency Fee.
They do not take a percentage of money you make
They do charge a service fee.
I don’t think that makes them a scam. They just had one of their girls win Miss USA 2010, had one of their kids in a Doritos Commercial on the Super Bowl and a ton of their talent to go and do big things. Just my thoughts.

One Source Talent has been fantastic! Since the day I joined they have worked hard to provide me with an array of wonderful opportunities. In just the last month I’ve been cast in roles for Friday Night Lights, FOX’s The Good Guys and even was a featured bartender serving Jesse Metcalfe on Jerry Bruckheimer’s Chase for NBC! I plan to continue working closely with One Source and can’t wait until my next casting!

I started with One Source Talent in Feb. 2010 and I did a Pantene hair shoot a month after! It was my first paid job. I was so excited, but i was even more excited when i got the job to be an escort at the Tony Awards! I spent an entire day backstage; I experienced the rehearsals; I saw the other side of what we see on TV, and the list of people that I met is incredible. I would say a dream come true thanks to OST!

One Source is for sure not a scam. I know this because my son is a talent with them and it has helped him in so many ways.
Before them he was shy and had a lack of self confidence. Now after he has gotten a few modeling and acting jobs he is a new person. He is out going and is a different person.

My son went today and was told that they like his look. His next appt is Monday. They asked him to bring 20 photos with him. He seems really excited and I so do not want him to get taken. He would be devastated. He is a college student and works a F/T job. Please let me know what to expect so I can prepare him.

i set an appointment to see them in the interview,it was awesome
they all look ordinary to me
so far on my 1st day it didn’t charge me nothing.

I actually started working with one source talent for about three weeks now and i have already been to two auditions and am currently going to be appearing in a music video and also successfully made it getting into a fashion show as well. I never really thought it would be that fast and easy to get into the business, but I did and I am extremely happy about that, thanks to One Source.

Anyone that thinks One Source Talent is a scam is an idiot! Some reviews I have read are of dummies that have never tried their services. You need to understand that they are not an agency. Hard work is the key to being successful in the entertainment industry. I wake up every morning thinking about new ways to get myself out there.

Hi all!
I used their services last year and was very pleased. I also have other agencies..and most of the jobs that i recieved have been through OST… they really work hard for their talent and try to get you as many jobs and auditions possible…i booked a fashion show, got a callback for a KFC commercial, got a spokesmodeling job, and plenty of auditions… And on top of that, they are the nicest people! I can talk to them whenever i want.. and ask questions, and i never hesitated to ask if there were any auditions for me at this time. They were always happy to help. I am bummed i cannot afford it at this time..but once i can again, i will jump at the chance to be with them again!
